Founded and run by Zack Repko, the Lower East Side Cactus & Succulent Society (LESCSS) is a small but active group of xerophile enthusiasts based in and around the Lower East Side of Manhattan. They host in-person and virtual meetings, plant/seed sales and other community-based programming, and they also put out loads of incredible merch. 

Given our shared love of fauna, digging through old books / journals and hand-drawing various oddities from the natural world, it was a no brainer that we needed to make a shirt together. The shirt is available exclusively through us (Small Talk) and LESCSS, and features our hand-drawn rendering of the Astrophytum capricorne plant, commonly known as the goat's horn cactus, native to to the Chihuahuan Desert in northern Mexico. 

Our dear friend and beloved photographer Christian Michael Filardo captured these shirts beautifully in and around Zack's private plant collection a few weeks back. We hope you enjoy these photos and encourage you to snag a shirt while they last.
